Coronavirus Resources

Picture
None of us could have prepared for this. A month ago, we were meeting customers, planning events, organising promotions, booking holidays and networking.
Now we're considering how to keep our families and finances safe as well as diversify to keep our jobs and businesses afloat.

Information on Covid 19 is changing every day, but if you have concerns or need information, the following resources will be of help:

Extremely Vulnerable People
The Government has set up a web page for extremely vulnerable people to register to receive support as a priority.
You can register for yourself or for someone else.

Financial
Firstly it is advisable to check with your bank to see what support they are offering during this time.
Some banks are offering no fees on missed payments on credit cards, mortgage holidays, emergency access to savings on fixed term accounts.

Martin Lewis offers valuable information on the Money Saving Expert website. Information includes the banks who are offering payment holidays for those with mortgages or credit card loans. There is also information on support being offered by utility companies.

The Government has also put measures in place to protect renters from being evicted if they fall behind on payment.

The Priority Services Register
The Priority Services Register (PSR) is a free service provided by energy providers and network operators to customers in need.
This service offers priority to those in need when emergencies arise – such as power or water cuts – as well as providing support with bills and energy advice.

Social Distancing
The Government has now introduced strict guidelines on social distancing and self-isolation.
Here is the link to the ‘stay at home’ guidelines:

The Elderly and vulnerable
The Government is strongly advising anyone over the age of 70, regardless of how well they are, people with underlying conditions and pregnant women to strictly adhere to the guidance on social distancing for the next 12 weeks.
